We extract the 16 dominant colours
A k-means clustering algorithm finds the 16 most-present colours. Near-white backgrounds are filtered out automatically.

Match against 2,400 shades
Each extracted colour is matched in LAB space using CIEDE2000 against our wool & silk library, paired with its nearest Pantone TCX reference, with a ΔE score per match.
