How we work with designers and procurement teams

Certifications relevant to hospitality: Oeko-Tex Standard 100 via Hohenstein Germany (materials tested for harmful substances — a common retailer and hotel-group requirement), GoodWeave (child-labour-free supply chain), ISO 9001:2015 (quality management), SMETA 4-Pillar via Sedex (social compliance). Documentation supplied with each programme.
US and EU hospitality buyers — compliance anchors
For US-based hotel programmes, the four questions a procurement team asks before specifying are what we document on the pro-forma. We state what we hold and what we arrange on request, in writing, so the compliance review is a 15-minute read rather than a round of RFIs.
- Fire testing. We hold no blanket ASTM E648 or NFPA 253 Class I certification. For hotel programmes requiring a specific flammability pass we arrange project-specific testing through Intertek or SGS, with the sample pulled from the lot that will ship and the certificate attached to the pro-forma. We never imply yacht, superyacht, or marine capability; IMO 2010 FTP Code and MED Wheelmark are explicitly not held.
- California Proposition 65 clearance. Available on request via Eurofins Product Testing India, Gurgaon. Chargeable. The restricted-substances panel we run monthly (Chem-ST) overlaps substantially with the Prop 65 list and provides supporting evidence.
- REACH SVHC statement. Supplied on request. Our Chem-ST panel at Eurofins Gurgaon screens against the 247 substances on the ECHA candidate list published 21 January 2025.
- US textile labelling and HS classification. HS codes supplied with every shipment — 5701 for hand-knotted, 5702 for handloom and flatweave, 5703 for tufted. US-shipped programmes receive the classification guidance; the MID code we file at the border is provided to the customs broker directly rather than published on the website.
EU-destined programmes carry our REX (Registered Exporter) number — INREXABAFP1825BDG015 — on every shipping document, as a matter of course.
