PiHue colour codes — complete index of 2,400 in-house dye references

Every colour in our Bhadohi dye library has a fixed code — wool shades prefixed by a digit (1A01, 2B03, 3M15), viscose and silk shades prefixed by a letter (F150, G067, H119). Use this index to jump straight to a specific code, or browse the full interactive colour library to see each code's hex, nearest Pantone and yarn pom.

How to use this page: click any code to open the full colour library with that code pre-selected in your shortlist palette. Pair multiple codes to build a mood board and send it to our floor for a lab dip (physical yarn sample) to lock the recipe before bulk production. Codes link to the matcher where you'll see the nearest Pantone equivalent, ΔE match score, and side-by-side yarn pom photography.

About the PiHue code system

What do the prefixes mean?
Digits 1-5 are wool families (approximate hue groupings — 1 cool, 5 warm). Letters F-J are viscose and silk families (F oranges/warm neutrals, G pinks/magentas, H purples, I greys/cool neutrals, J blues).
How are the hex values decided?
Sampled from the actual dyed yarn under D65 daylight simulator. The hex in our data is calibrated against a physical pom, not a theoretical formula — which means the on-screen tile should sit within ΔE ~5 of what the yarn looks like under normal daylight. Final confirmation is always a physical lab dip before bulk recipe lock.
Can I search by Pantone instead?
Yes — use the Pantone matcher or browse the full Pantone code index.
What's the difference between the wool and viscose libraries?
Different fibres take dye differently. The same Pantone target yields a slightly different outcome in wool vs viscose — viscose/silk reads more luminous, wool reads richer. We keep separate recipe books and separate code prefixes to track this. The in-house dye library covers 1,400 wool shades and 1,000 viscose/silk shades.
Can I order a sample of a specific code?
Yes. Add any codes to your shortlist from the colour library (or send us the list by email), and we'll ship small physical poms by courier for approval before any rug production begins.
